Get Set For BITSAT!

BITSAT – Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Admission Test is a computer-based online test conducted by BITS, Pilani. The institution has been declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. BITSAT qualifies the candidates to take admission in any of the Integrated First Degree programs at BITS, Pilani campuses in Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad.

BITSAT is a qualifying examination for the following programs:

BITS, Pilani – Pilani:

BE (Honors) in Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical.
BPharm (Honors)
MSc (Honors) in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biological Sciences, and Economics.
MSc (Technology) in Engineering Technology, Information Systems, General Studies, and Finance.

BITS, Pilani – Goa:

BE (Honors) in Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical.
MSc (Honors) in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biological Sciences, and Economics.
MSc (Technology) in Information Systems.

BITS, Pilani – Hyderabad:

BE (Honors) Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics & Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical.
BPharm (Honors)
MSc (Honors) in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biological Sciences, and Economics.
MSc (Technology) in Information Systems.

Application Procedure

Application forms for BITSAT can be obtained from the Admissions Office, BITS, Pilani or can be easily accessed online via http://www.bitsadmission.com.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have minimum aggregate of 80 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 60 percent in each subject, in 10+2 examination or equivalent examination recognized by Central or State Board of India. These applicants must have English as one of the main subjects in 10+2.

Candidates appearing in the final exam of graduation can also apply for BITSAT, provided they submit all the provisional documents for the qualifying degree during the admissions.

Structure of the Exam

BITSAT is three hours’ duration exam and is divided into four parts, covering Physics; Chemistry; English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning; and Mathematics. This exam has multiple choice answers format and is based on the NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class standard.

Test Centers for the Exam

Besides Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad, the list of test centers include Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Noida, Nagpur, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad.

Conclusion

BITS, Pilani has also got its campuses in Dubai and United Arab Emirates. Also, the institute is known for its flexible curriculum and selects only meritorious students without following any reservation policy.
